This Privacy Policy explains how Alinea Chemical Solutions, LLC (“Alinea,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares information about you when you visit alineachem.com (the “Website”), contact us, or chat with us. It also describes your choices. Please also read our Terms and Conditions.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. We collect the information you enter on the Website:

  • Contact form: first and last name, company, email address, phone number (optional), your comments, how you heard about us, and the business division you want to reach (Alinea or Toll Solutions).
  • Live chat: the messages you send, and any name, email address, phone number or other details you choose to give in the chat.

We also collect what you tell us when you call, email or meet with us.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, we and the services described below collect information such as your IP address, approximate location based on your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, the page or ad that referred you, and ad click identifiers. We collect this using cookies, pixels and similar technologies.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your questions and requests for quotes, and to provide and support our products and services.
  • To route your request to the right part of our business, such as Toll Solutions.
  • To send business communications, which you can opt out of at any time.
  • To understand how visitors use the Website and improve it.
  • To measure our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited the Website (see section 4).
  • To protect the Website from spam and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-party services we use

  • Zoho CRM receives what you submit through our contact form. A Zoho script also records how you found the Website (for example, the search engine or ad that referred you) and attaches it, along with any ad click identifier, to your form submission.
  • Zoho SalesIQ provides our live chat. It keeps a record of your chat, and while the chat widget is loaded it uses cookies to recognize your browser and record the pages you visit, so our team can see that activity when you chat with us or submit our contact form.
  • Google Tag Manager loads our analytics, advertising and chat tags.
  • Google Analytics helps us understand Website traffic and use.
  • Google Ads measures the results of our ads and supports remarketing (see section 4).
  • Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts provide typefaces, and receive your IP address when your browser loads them.
  • Our website hosting provider stores and serves the Website.

Each of these services handles information under its own privacy policy.

4. Remarketing and interest-based advertising

We use remarketing services, including Google Ads, to show our ads to people who have visited our Website when they later use other websites and apps. These services use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to recognize your browser or device, and they collect information such as the pages you visited and when. We do not give these services your name, email address or phone number, and we do not sell your contact information.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ad Settings, the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Opting out does not stop you from seeing ads, but they will not be based on your visits to our Website.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your contact information. We share information only:

  • With the service providers listed in section 3, which process it on our behalf.
  • With the advertising platforms in section 4, through cookies and pixels on the Website.
  • With our affiliated companies, including Toll Solutions and FCI Technology, when needed to respond to your request or to supply products and services you have asked about.
  • When required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.

6. Cookies and your choices

The Website uses cookies for basic operation, live chat, analytics and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising as described in section 4. Live chat may not work without cookies. You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email or by contacting us.

Do Not Track. Browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting, but there is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, and the Website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

7. How long we keep information

We keep contact, chat and customer information for as long as we have a business relationship with you and as needed for our records, tax, accounting and legal obligations. Analytics and advertising data is kept according to the retention settings of the services in sections 3 and 4. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we have about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, call us at 844.227.8777 ext. 505 or use our contact form. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we deny your request, you may appeal by contacting us the same way.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us.

10. Children

The Website is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above.
