Application

IneaSil 65000E can be applied as received or diluted/blended with other components depending upon the end application.

General Applications: IneaSil 65000E is a general-purpose high viscosity polydimethylsiloxane emulsion. As such, usage in applications such as mold release, tire and vinyl dressing and polishes can vary widely. Please contact your Alinea Technical Representative for more information on specific applications or recommendations.

Textile Applications: IneaSil 65000E can be used alone in aqueous dilution or combined with organic softeners for the treatment of fibers and textiles. Before mixing with organic softeners a test is recommended to ensure compatibility.

IneaSil 65000E imparts a pleasant, dry, non-sticky handle to pigment prints especially on fabrics having a flat structure. IneaSil 65000E improves rubbing fastness of pigment prints.

Processing: IneaSil 65000E can be applied by padding, but, as with all products containing silicone, the finishing liquors should not be subjected to high shear, as this might cause instability. 4-20 g/l IneaSil 65000E is recommended for the pad method. It can be applied either alone or together with resins and other finishing agents. Higher crease recovery angles and lower abrasion values can be obtained in resin finishing by using IneaSil 65000E. A wide range of handles can be obtained by combining IneaSil 65000E with conventional softening agents and other additives such as fillers based on polyacrylate. To improve rubbing fastness of pigment prints IneaSil 65000E is added at a ratio of 2-4 g/kg to the print paste. Flow properties and stability of the print paste are usually unaffected by addition of IneaSil 65000E. Overdosage must be avoided.
